Bernie Sanders has no religion
Bernie Sanders when asked about his religious beliefs:
…Every great religion in the world---Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism---essentially comes down to: “Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.” What I have believed in my whole life---I believed it when I was a 22-year-old kid getting arrested in Chicago fighting segregation---I’ve believed it in my whole life...
This is the ecumenical answer by someone who isn't really interested in religion. Even a political candidate advocating a social revolution can't bring himself to say that. But Cuomo's question specifically included whether he believed in "a higher power" ruling the universe, which Sanders didn't answer.
All religions, by the way, are not the same.
Sanders seems to be a secular humanist, not a religious believer. I don't care about his religious beliefs or lack thereof any more than I care about Hillary's. I'm going to vote for Hillary because I think she's the best political choice for the country.
