Leave the neighborhood alone

The radiator business looks
a lot better without this display

Haighteration provides a public service by recording this annoying demonstration on Divisadero by what I call the Cute People. They aren't satisfied with screwing up our traffic with the bicycle bullshit.

Like the imperial MTA, they now want to "improve" our neighborhood with "public art." Why shouldn't a radiator company just look like a radiator company instead of an artsy-fartsy junior high art project?

Fortunately it was all temporary, sponsored by a vodka company.

Good to see a lot of negative comments about the proposed project here and here.
We need more art in this City. It's a shame SF is losing their artistic style and spirit. Things like this should be embraced. How about the tech people start using their "new" money to bring art back to SF.
Terrible idea. Time to dust off my Leave the Neighborhoods Alone Plan, which was originally directed at a meddlesome City Hall but now needs to be addressed to some misguided people who live in the neighborhoods.
