Closing UC Extension: The Real Story
Anyone interested in UC's greedy proposal to turn the old Extension site on Laguna St. into a for-profit, 450-unit housing development should attend this event. Eliza Hemenway---who worked at the Extension as UC was shutting it down---is making a documentary of that process. (For some backstory, see an interview District 5 Diary did with Eliza Hemenway):
The particulars:
Thursday, October 13, 6:30 pm
Uncommon Knowledge: Closing the Books at UC Berkeley Extension
New College Theater, 777 Valencia Street, San Francisco
