Wiener's attack on initiative rights: The Video

What's odd about Wiener's presentation is that he doesn't provide a single concrete example of the problem his proposal is supposed to address. Instead, he simply calls it an "overdue good government measure." He also claims he hears a lot of complaints from his constituents that there are too many measures on the city's ballot. Bullshit. Like Supervisor Kim's refusal to take the Pledge of Allegiance, Wiener's proposal only makes one wonder about his judgment.
