Subject: Urgent---MTA plan to remove many parking spaces along Fell Street and cross streets
Date: January 28, 2018 at 1:45:13 PM PST
Dear Friends and Neighbors:
MTA is planning to remove parking spaces at the corners along Fell Street and at the intersections of Fell with the cross streets from Baker through Shrader.
There will be a hearing before an MTA hearing officer on Friday, February 2, at 10 AM at City Hall, Room 416. Michele and I are very concerned about the loss of yet more parking spaces in our neighborhood.
I won't be able to attend the hearing in person but will submit written opposition. (The notice of hearing, attached, doesn't state that written comments will be accepted.)
Even if you have a garage, you may be impacted because eliminating these parking spaces would make it more difficult for guests, babysitters, employees, contractors, visitors, delivery people, housekeepers, movers, etc. to find parking.
Here's a link to an article on Hoodline:
If you oppose the loss of these parking spaces, please attend the hearing and/or submit written opposition to:
ed.reiskin@sfmta.com (Ed Reiskin is the Director/CEO of MTA)
ben.jose@sfmta.com (MTA spokesman)
mike.sallaberry@sfmta.com (MTA Livable Streets)
luis.montoya@sfmta.com (MTA Livable Streets)
london.breed@sfgov.org (Supervisor London Breed)
breedstaff@sfgov.org (legislative aides to Supervisor Breed)
Cordially,
