Yes, best take a bicycle tour of the Octavia Blvd. disaster area now, before the freeway ramp on the other side of Market St. opens up later this year and perhaps 80,000 cars a day move through the neighborhood, making the trip to City Hall by bike even more foolhardy than it already is.

Hi all,
This Thursday, May 19 is Bike to Work Day. A group of us will be gathering to ride with District 5 Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi to City Hall. The ride will meet at the Corner of Webster and Grove at (o'early thirty)- 7:15- for a short tour of the new Octavia Blvd up to Market to the new mini-bike lanes at 8th and Market, and on to City Hall for an 8:00 press conference. If you have any questions, you can email me directly. We hope to see lots of you this Thursday am on your bikes!
