Spineless in academia: Muslim bullies win again
In today's NY Times, there's a story about a new book, "The Cartoons That Shook the World" by Jytte Klausen, on the Danish cartoons of Muhammad that led to rioting by Islamists, who were trying to bully the western media into censoring itself. They were very successful, as many media sources quickly rolled over in deference to the fanatical bullyboys.
The NY Times itself refused to reproduce the cartoons. Ditto for our local media, including the Bay Guardian and our so-called alternative media. At least the Chronicle published an editorial against the intimidation, though they couldn't bring themselves to publish the cartoons themselves!

But the punchline to this story: Yale University Press, publishers of this book that gives a detailed account of the whole cartoon controversy, refused to include copies of the cartoons in the book!
Cinnamon Stillwell is also on the case.
