Letter to the editor in today's NY Times:

While Justice Samuel Alito insists that Roe was egregiously wrong from the start because abortion is not a right delineated in the Constitution, remember that the number of women participating at the Constitutional Convention was zero.

Gay rights and women's rights also aren't in the Constitution. Alito's argument shows the weakness of being an "orignalist" when interpreting a constitution that was written more than 200 years ago.

Not surprising that most originalists are also religious extremists with a similar fetish for a bible written more than 2,000 years ago.
