Immigration as a non-issue

Kevin Drum

....This shows two things. First, immigration in the US has long been considerably smaller than in other countries. Second, the absolute level of immigration is not a lot higher now than it has been for the past decade, a period of little net growth in the total immigrant population.....

The graph is correct up until 2020 immigration was not an issue. 2020 until today which the liberal graph purposely does not show immigration is an issue. But immigration in itself is not the problem. Illegal immigration is the only problem. The people that suffer are those with jobs receiving a paycheck. They already pay their fair share in taxes. When you have illegals getting housing, medical, school benefits etc for free not legally working paying taxes their costs need to be covered somehow. So the person working at McDonald’s receiving a paycheck paying their share in taxes ends up covering those costs by having more/higher taxes deducted. Those are the people that really suffer. Sooner or later won’t have much of a paycheck left. It’s all economic and unsustainable.

Okay, but where's the evidence that "illegals" getting benefits is a significant problem?
