In SF "the car remains the most convenient way to get around"
It should come as no surprise that the mode of transportation of choice among San Franciscans is the automobile. Despite the fact that the progressive bloc has tried to push the bicycle and taking Muni down our throats, the car remains the most convenient way to get around San Francisco.
This city is not Amsterdam or Copenhagen, where the flat topography which makes bicycling a much easier mode of transport. It is one of the hilliest cities in America, which makes riding a bike or walking long distances nearly impossible for all but the fittest of our citizenry.
As for Muni, it cannot be depended upon to be on time, the operators are being assaulted at an alarming rate and it is unsafe due to many unstable passengers that you may encounter.
San Francisco needs to become more car friendly, rather than less. We need to increase the amount of parking spaces in the city instead of reducing them. All bike lanes need to be monitored for use, and the ones that are not being used enough should be reclaimed as auto lanes.

Im sorry Kenneth but this is part of our climate change agenda. Soon you will be drinking out of paper straws and using a cavemans wooden fork. Followed up by banning certain foods under the lie of health and safety as well as animal cruelty. Yes your farts effect the climate. When the city of SF is finished replacing water mains under ground you will be limited to 50 gallons of water per person. Get ready to takeshpwre with a spray bottle.
Add up all taxes you pay on a daily, monthly and yearly bases. State, local, sales tax on sugar, health tax sf and state special taxes and feels on your utility bills, property taxes and so on. It all adds up to 40% of your money goes to taxes. Not one cent of that 40% is federal taxes. You can add that in later. Your the one paying to get fucked out of your car and having your entire way of life altered. Isn't it wonderful?
Think I'm bullshitting? Go read the Paris climate accord that California loves as well as the UN climate change. It's all there.
Rob - it's really hard to understand your promotion of car use, when studies show pollution from cars is killing people and killing the planet. Why such an irresponsible attitude?

Mr. Jones's views aren't exactly the same as mine. I don't own a car and haven't for many years. I walk and rely on muni for longer trips in the city. But I agree with him on the city's anti-car policies, including the goofy bicycle fantasy that only makes traffic worse in the city, which increases those toxic auto emissions.
