Lock him up?
Donald Trump has been indicted by a New York City grand jury on charges of falsifying business records stemming from payments he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels to prevent her from revealing an affair he had with her before the 2016 election.
A source told The Independent that grand jurors voted to indict the ex-president at some point this week, but that indictment is currently under seal.
It was only filed with the New York Supreme Court late Thursday just before the court clerk’s office wrapped its business for the day.
Filing the indictment, which has been signed by the grand jury foreperson and the clerk of the court, is what makes a criminal case official, but it is currently under seal until unveiled in the near future by District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The twice-impeached former president had signaled that he could face arrest by Mr Bragg’s office, which was still in the process of presenting evidence to a grand jury as recently as Monday.
He previously said in a post on his Truth Social website that he had expected to be arrested on 20 March, but that date came and went without an indictment from the grand jury.
In the time between when he falsely claimed he would be arrested and the announcement that the grand jury had, in fact, indicted him, the ex-president who in 2021 fomented a violent attack on the US Capitol in an attempt to remain in power despite having lost the 2020 election....

This outlet can’t make up their minds. Trump was right the first time. However the original leaks causing Trump to say he would be indicted on march 20th killed their element of surprise Hollywood show they were ready to put on. So they held off for a week.
The lefty court will find him guilty so that they get their clown show in the media for a few months. The circus is all they’re looking for in this. It will then be appealed and tossed out/dismissed no case. Then the democrats and liberal media will attempt to use the catch phrase “indicted ex-president” in the upcoming presidential election hoping any of this will help them. However this only showed that democrats and left want to turn the entire country into one aushcwitz camp. And wanting to control all parts of society. Schools, businesses, newspapers, and arts. On one hand preach saving democracy yet at the same time sneaking in authoritarianism. Outside of donkeyville D.C. majority of Americans democrats and republicans understand this today and believe this move to political. Hate Trump all you want. But he has been the only person that has been able to get democrats to react and respond like nut jobs causing them to shoot themselves in the foot publicly resulting in showing their true colors every time. Your excitement about all of this Rob just all of the bullshit in your “anti-fascist“ posts and rants. When the snow melts, the shit will show. Damn! You stink!
Actually, I don't disagree. Though I'm a liberal Democrat, I think indicting Trump for that reason is a stretch. It's not even clear that the payoff was illegal.
