Critical Mass punks attack Marina motorist

What happened to the $188,000 police escort city taxpayers are paying for?

That guy is clearly out of control. He made it his point to drop his bike in front of the women's car. The driver never moved after he dropped his bike. Then he went over to her window and started yelling at her. She backed up to go around his bike and he dragged his bike crank across her car hood to scratch it, and used his Ulock to hit the hood and then tried to break out her windows. His bike was never touched by the car except when he dragged it across her hood, there is zero wrong with his bike. That guy is just an instigator, bully and likely should be charged with assault.

I noticed the story of this attack on the motorist in the Marina was buried in Streetsblog's news section and so far nobody over there has even commented on it. Can you imagine the protests and outrage if 12 auto drivers drove down the wrong side of a bike path surrounding a cyclist and attacking them? I am currently visiting family down in Laguna Beach, and this story is all over the radio and televsion stations down here, but am curious if it is getting the same coverage back home in the Bay Area?

A few years ago on a Friday evening I was driving my car to Civic Center for a music performance when a couple Critical Mass riders pulled the same stunt on me, positioning themselves and their bikes around my car so I could not drive without colliding with at least one of them. Fortunately nothing violent took place.

On a number of other occasions I have had these Critical Mass boors almost roll over my shoes as I walked across Market or Mission Streets when my walk sign illuminated.

If Critical Mass can make an enemy out of an 8,000mi/year cyclist (and 18mi/week pedestrian) who drives only 400mi/yr then they can make an enemy out of anyone.
