The "leviathan" lives!
In today's SF Chronicle:
For much of 2023, a leviathan loomed over San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood in the form of a 55-story, 714-unit development residential tower proposed for 2700 Sloat Boulevard, just a few blocks from the ocean.
After renderings of the giant development were made public, neighbors revolted. The city said the project didn’t meet planning codes.
A contentious few months of debate ensued, and the leviathan appeared to be slain. But very soon, the failures of our local leaders may resurrect it — and spawn a series of new ones across the city....
