This is not a joke. Sloan to San Mateo county is considered a PDA (priority development area). Many streets across the city are PDAs. Why do you think we have so many new ugly ass box looking mixed-use buildings with more in planning and development. Any street with ”major bus line” is considered PDA. Which red bus lanes redesigning of streets, bike lanes are all a part of.
All happened when the association of Bay Area governments was created (regional planning). MTA, SFMTA and all regional government agencies are in on it. In 2007 the sfmta amended priory development areas that were created by the association of Bay Area governments PDAs in San Francisco by designating solar Blvd to San Mateo county line a PDA. PDAs were created and first planned out in the early 2000s. Given the nice title of Plan Area. First it was plan Bay Area 2020, then 2030, then 2050. The reason for the year changers is not delay. It’s phases and when they can get funding out of the dumb voters voting yes on anything. Originally the regional planning price was $350 billion who knows what it is today with sugar taxes, clean the pay taxes, higher bridge and transportation tolls, regional tolls, higher payroll taxes from higher min wage, higher sales tax, housing bonds and funds, and so on.
This all stems from sustainable development from the United Nations, koyoto protocol, Paris accords and so on. When regional governments change the years like from 2030 to 2050 the United Nations has done so first. United Nations calls it sustainable development. Other regions have their own names example ours “Plan Bay Area”
The selling price to the public is health and safety folks dying by automobile and foods, affordable housing and climate change amongst other things. Ironic that our dumb die hard climate change U.S. secretary of transportation bootyjackass admitted July 2 2023 “can’t change the weather”
All the above was only making it short. Research ABAG, UN sustainable development and both accord stated above then think about our dumb plans in San Francisco. You will notice it’s all one including open borders here and in Europe. Publicly they call it immigration, racism, open boarders and all this other crap. The plan calls it “sustainable migration”.
