Gram Parsons

Good to see the Mission Local story on the late Gram Parsons, a great country music singer who died at only 26. 

It took me back to 1969 when I was in the small audience at the short-lived Family Dog venue on Ocean Beach for a Flying Burrito Brothers concert. Parsons was the lead singer for the group. I was already familiar with his work on both the Byrds album above and the Gilded Palace of Sin. I wasn't disappointed, as Parsons and the group were excellent.

A little surprised to see that my last music post was way back in June of last year: Born in Chicago.
