I come down on the side of keeping the mural and requiring a tour of the mural by every student beginning their attendance at GWHS and then requiring an essay by every student within a few months (to let them mull over their reactions/thoughts, etc.). Also allow them to express any ongoing thoughts in whatever e-forum GWHS maintains, and encourage civil, honest, non-hyperbolic
discussion on this forum.
