We are doomed...some day

The California Earthquake Authority thinks a Bay Area earthquake on either the San Andreas Fault, the Calaveras Fault, or the Hayward Fault will do a lot of damage to San Francisco:

The greater San Francisco Bay Area has a high likelihood of future damaging earthquakes as it straddles the San Andreas fault system—the major geologic boundary between the North American and Pacific tectonic plates.
Thanks to the California Sun.

All the more reason to stop with the push for more and more housing SPURed on by local think tanks who failed with any forecast with what the tech boom has brought us in terms of excessive rents, concomitant homelessness and damaging gentrification. House those who are committed to living here, not those seeking the next hot thing on restaurant menus.

Discourage tech companies from expanding here and let other regions--less prone to earthquakes and sea level rise--reap the rewards of these companies' presence. Spread the wealth--don't concentrate it.
And wazzup with Treasure Island? A disaster with sea-rise and earthquakes waiting to happen?
