A photo of Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signing the state’s new restrictive voting bill into law on Thursday night quickly went viral, thanks to the gaggle of white Republican men standing around him, celebrating a bill that will mostly affect Black voters....The men are standing below a painting of a notorious slave plantation in Wilkes County.
A guide from Georgia Council of the Arts confirms the painting is titled Brickhouse Road (Callaway PLNT). It depicts the Callaway Plantation, once a 3,000-acre plantation that owned up to 100 slaves.
Their master was so cruel he built a quasi-jail on the property for unruly slaves, and set dogs on those who tried to escape, according to an oral history from Mariah Callaway, a woman who was born into slavery on the plantation in 1852.
Georgian voter rights activist Stacey Abrams has dubbed the voter suppression bill “Jim Crow 2.0.”
Black Georgia lawmaker arrested for knocking on the door where Governor Kemp was signing the voter suppression law, a good metaphor for what's happening in Georgia and the country.

How stupid. Always calling voter security some sort of racist. Mainly an ID.
IDs is required everywhere for everything. Even in not so “racist” New York and California.
Housing lease .. ID
Credit card application ID
Food stamps... ID
Free and low income medical..ID
Low income housing.. ID

A job .. ID
Special low income benefits .. ID
Low in come grants.. ID
Airplane ... ID

Georgia bill just simply says verify signature and IDs leave it up to democrats to say ID and signature verification is racist or voter suppression. If that was the case then the entire state of California is racist as they ask for ID and signature on everything.
How about this.... you yourself have supported this Racist idea of an ID as you have shown your ID at your bank, to purchase or rent your home and your signature on documents as well.

Your focus on the ID issue is revealing. Why not discuss the other issues, like reducing the number of drop boxes, making it harder to vote by mail, or allowing the state government to reverse local election results?
The latter provision will allow Republicans, once they get rid of that honest secretary of state, to fix the system so the state will have the power to overrule the results will ensure that losing like they did in 2020 won't happen again.
Trump tried to get the Georgia secretary of state, a Republican, to steal the election for him, but he is an honest man and wouldn't do it. He led three recounts and all had the same results: Trump lost and Biden won Georgia.
Here's the basic litmus test question: Do you think the election was stolen from Trump in Georgia and other states? Why has no one found any significant election fraud in last year's election? Maybe the Democratic Party's fraud conspiracy was so successful it hid all the evidence?
Speaking of "stupid," do you think Kemp and the other white men in the picture are so stupid he/they didn't know what the picture behind them actually represented, a former slave plantation?

They don't need unsecured mailbox style drop boxes on every corner. Nor are they reducing anything. Democrats want to add more unsecured drop boxes. If everyone can get to a bus stop or a social security office they can get to a polling place. It is a bullshit argument to say that refusing to add unsecured drop boxes is a reduction.
I stress the ID and signature verification aspect of it because that's 80% of the entire bill. Why is knowing that Rob is the actual person voting racist? Again stupid. Mail in voting was put in place using covid as the excuse. Now that more people are out all of a sudden they want to have all mail in voting not requiring signature verification or requiring ID. So then what you and the democrats are saying is that the same exact signature verification and ID process being used at a bank is racist for a ballot. Stupid.
All states already have the legal authority to reverse results if an issue arises. Democrats are trying to change that. Federalizing it so that whenever they control congress they control elections. Constitution clearly states only state legislators deal with elections in their state.

First of all just because nothing has been reported or investigated properly doesn't mean that not one thing happened or not one thing exists. If you pay attention to local news in Michigan and Arizona with a couple of court cases the judge has ruled for forensic investigations and other investigations into irregularities and investigation as to why in some counties out of 360k votes Trump received only 3300. That cannot be because not one thing exists.
That being said who the fuck are you to give anybody a litmus test?

You have it backwards. You should have some evidence before you make that claim. That's what the 60+ judges said when Trump's lawyers lost all those voter cases: come back with some evidence. Even the right-wing Supreme Court treated those appeals with the contempt they deserved.
