Atlanta killer has a religion problem
Looks like the Atlanta shooter was motivated more by religion/sex mania than racism. That is, without the religion-based sex guilt, there would have been no shooting:
....Long was plagued by the conflict between his belief that his obsession with sex was immoral and his dedication to furthering his faith. “He was militant about it,” Bayless said. “This was the kind of guy who would hate himself for masturbating, would consider that a relapse.”
And this:
The subculture of evangelical purity culture says, “This is an addiction like heroin is an addiction. You need to be so serious about this violation in your life that you’re willing to go to extremes to avoid it.” And that’s where it gets a little bit worrisome. When the New Testament talks about gouging out your eye and cutting off your hand in order to avoid lust, the implication is “I need to be willing to do anything to avoid this kind of sin.”
No religion, no shooting.
Murder and suicide are closely related.
Much easier to get a gun in Atlanta than an abortion because, you understand, life is sacred.
