Fauci: The death threats started early

Anthony Fauci on working in the Trump administration:

When did the death threats start?

Wow. Many, many months ago. In the spring. Hold on — just bear with me. [He consults someone who answers “March 28,” 2020] So there — you got it from the head of my Secret Service detail. That’s when I got protection, so maybe two weeks prior to that.

It was the harassment of my wife, and particularly my children, that upset me more than anything else. They knew where my kids work, where they live. The threats would come directly to my children’s phones, directly to my children’s homes. How the hell did whoever these assholes were get that information?

And there was chatter on the internet, people talking to each other, threatening, saying, “Hey, we got to get rid of this guy. What are we going to do about him? He’s hurting the president’s chances.” You know, that kind of right-wing craziness.

Were you ever shot at or confronted?

No, but one day I got a letter in the mail, I opened it up and a puff of powder came all over my face and my chest.

That was very, very disturbing to me and my wife because it was in my office. So I just looked at it all over me and said, “What do I do?” The security detail was there, and they’re very experienced in that. They said, “Don’t move, stay in the room.” And they got the hazmat people. So they came, they sprayed me down and all that.

Did they test the powder?

Yeah. It was a benign nothing. But it was frightening. My wife and my children were more disturbed than I was. I looked at it somewhat fatalistically. It had to be one of three things: A hoax. Or anthrax, which meant I’d have to go on Cipro for a month. Or if it was ricin, I was dead, so bye-bye.

Easy for you to blame Trump of this dumb ass that advises you wear 17 masks that don’t work. Death threats had and have nothing to do with Trump. He still receives death threats even today. Sorry to hurt your feelings with some facts. Grab a tissue.

Oh, poor Donald Trump! Who's more credible on the pandemic, Trump or Fauci? To ask the question is to answer it.

I don’t care about your feelings.. The American journal of medicine conducted studies and concluded hydroxychloroquine worked for covid and is safe. Trump for a long would talk about hydroxychloroquine after doctors and scientist told him it worked. All while cnn and Fauci fettuccini would say it didn’t work and that it would kill people. The minute dr fettuccini turned democrat hack he lost all credibility.

I find a completely different conclusion in the American Journal of Medicine:

"In summary, we recommend that health care providers restrict their prescriptions of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to compassionate use for patients with COVID-19 until the results of randomized trials that provide sufficient evidence. As regards risks, health care providers should be aware that the reassuring safety profile of hydroxychloroquine derives from decades of prescriptions for autoimmune diseases, which are of greater prevalence in younger and middle age women, whose risks of fatal outcomes due to prolongations of the QTc are reassuringly very low.

In contrast, the risks for COVID-19 are so much higher because mortality rates are the highest in older patients and those with comorbidities, both of whom are predominantly men. In conclusion, health care providers should always prioritize compassion with evolving science and safety data. In this context, we recommend a moratorium on the use of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, with or without azithromycin, to treat or prevent COVID-19, with the exceptions of obtaining the necessary evidence in randomized trials as well as compassionate use."

This is the kinf of evidence that Fauci was citing, as opposed to Dr. Trump's bullshit.

Your not reading the report and only stating your opinion only to insult the previous president. To define it what that report basically means is that it prevents mortality. Nobody died. Biden is president these days correct? Wanting to keep everything shit down and just passing stimulus convincing you that’s the way to control the virus.

Fauci’s solution to everything is mask and shut down. Fauci cites nothing. He drops his opinions commanded to him by the democrats. Never providing one report, one slide show one piece of scientific evidence. He does to shit but speak and give interviews. CDC is where most of the research being done. Never once do you see a group of doctors doing all the research speak. It’s always some director, democrat officials and people like Fauci that earned a PHD in school. Then people are told to follow the science which they refuse to show. Your trump hate is pretty much irrelevant. For the record Biden is following majority of the shit for covid today that was put in place during the Trump administration. The same medical folks that advised Trump are still there advising Biden. Fauci is a Democrat donkey.

“ Hydroxychloroquine blocks viral entry into cells by inhibiting the glycosylation of host receptors, proteolytic processing, endosomal acidification, and attenuation of cytokine production and inhibition of autophagy and lysosomal activity in host cells.6 Although azithromycin belongs to a class of antibiotics used to treat several bacterial infections, its use as potential antiviral has come to light in the recent years through studies on its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects.7,8 Adding azithromycin to the treatment regimen may also be effective to treat underlying potential secondary infections. Ciclesonide has an anti-inflammatory effect on respiratory epithelium.5 Although there is no clear evidence, we expected an additive or synergistic effect of using ciclesonide which has anti-inflammatory effect on respiratory epithelium in COVID-19 pneumonia, in addition to the viral clearance effect of the combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. In our study, response within 5 days from administering triple therapy lead to favorable outcome”

“Science direct oct 2020.

Go do some research instead of just copying and pasting bullshit that makes you feel good for the day. Means nothing. Or maybe try posting about how people that our hurting are getting screwed out of the $2000 stimulus checks democrats promised. Or how democrat want to raise the min wage and raise taxes on businesses that have been having a hard time while wanting to paint one fat red bus lane that cuts across the entire country.

You cited the American Journal of Medicine, but you didn't include a link, which is not surprising. I provided a link for an article in that journal that contradicted your claim. You have another long quotation but still no link to allow me to check the source. Science direct is not a journal; it's just a platform that republishes articles.

You make this claim:
"Fauci cites nothing. He drops his opinions commanded to him by the democrats. Never providing one report, one slide show one piece of scientific evidence. He does to shit but speak and give interviews."

A quick search and I found this based on an article---included in the post---that Fauci wrote with two other doctors more than a year ago, complete with citations.

And you provide this cryptic pronouncement:
"Or maybe try posting about how people that our hurting are getting screwed out of the $2000 stimulus checks democrats promised. Or how democrat want to raise the min wage and raise taxes on businesses that have been having a hard time..."

The Biden administration is promising $1,400 checks that, combined with the $600 we got last year, makes $2,000. So what's your beef? His $1.9 trillion relief proposal also includes money for vaccination and testing. Democrats are talking about rolling back the tax cut Trump gave to rich people and big corporations. Is that what you're referring to?

Apparently the minimum wage proposal is now off the table. Too bad. Of course every time a hike in the minimum wage is proposed, Republicans always cry that grass will grow in the streets if people in low-paying jobs get a raise. It's all bullshit. You're just parroting right-wing talking points.
