Every year cops shoot and kill 1,000 people

Washington Post

"Even amid the coronavirus pandemic and orders that kept millions at home for weeks, police shot and killed 463 people through the first week of June — 49 more than the same period in 2019. In May, police shot and killed 110 people, the most in any one month since The Post began tracking it."

Rob's comment:
Maybe like parking control officers they have a quota and have to shoot a certain number of people every year. See also this.

Your point? The post is not about race but about police gun violence against Americans in general, some of which is surely justifiable. The post---and the data in your link---doesn't cover the number of black people police killed by other methods (e.g., George Floyd) or, for that matter, how many of the people shot were unarmed. Or compare the race of those shot with a percentage of the country's population.
