Blame the rich guy? My first part time job in a retail store was $4.50 an hour. I kept working got myself educated went from job to job. Today I make close to $150 an hour. Why is that evil? If I instead today worked at McDonald's would you be a jerk for not paying my rent? You have more money than a homeless person. Which equivalent to being rich compared to the homeless. Are you a jerk because they do not have a job or have medical? Why not pick up astreet kid off haight st pay their rent for a one bedroom apartment? Instead you walk past the broke and poor no money homeless with disgust correct? Would that be considered jerk like? Pelosi the multi millionaire with enough money to pay Shultz double. Is she a jerk as well?

$15 an hour is the reason why a $5 sandwich in San Francisco is now $10. The reason why a dinner play at tommys joyht on Vanness went from $9.99 to $13.99. Who do you think pays the difference? When prices and cost of living in San Francisco are so expensive are you now spending double the money? Or are you being careful on how much you spend? Being careful means spending less leading to less money being made. Now would this impact the economy or not? Or maybe this wasn't one of your strengths when you tried running for city sup?

People vote for these only to complain about how things are now so expensive the next year. Then you blame it on the rich guy? So who's running SF? It's been liberal and progressive for years. No rich guys or republicans to blame in typicall liberal fashion.

The term I used is "jerk," not "evil." Before I read about his history in Seattle, I only didn't like his lame political centrism, as if the Democratic Party is too leftist. Now I think he's both a political jerk and personally a jerk.

Like Schultz you think paying people $15 an hour is going to tank the economy? You apparently didn't read either the Seattle story I linked or the link under the picture. Do that and get back to me with a new argument.

I never said Schultz wasn't a prick. It seems like your side was singing a different story about Schultz when he endorsed Clinton.

I didn't care much for the article written to try and make an ass look bad. We have a city gov in SF they cries about helping those with diabetes 2 sugar must be taxed to help them. Yet every penny of that tax goes towards a red carpet or a bike lane. What's the difference? And besides democrats/progressives have been in charge of that state and city no? How many of them were paid off allowing Shultz to do anything?

$15 an hour wouldn't be a good thing. Yes it would hurt the economy. It's simple math. And yes you make less purchases when things are expensive.

I love the lame argument though. Yes raise the minimum wage giving people an affordable income. Yeah ok. Average 1 bedroom in SF is about $3300. $15 an hour at a full time job (40 hours) is $2400 a month before taxes. Can't cover the rent or utility bills. And the person making the extra $2-$3 dollars an hour ends up paying more taxes out of their checks and paying double the price for milk and toilet paper. Now your on a budget spending less trying to make ends meat. Meaning less purchases so then a business would be making less sales and then what? Shuts down. But no it's not the minimum wage it's the greedy landlords.

Let me ask you something. If I owned a business that you frequent and I begin to pay a higher wage forcing me to raise the price on the gallon of milk because the extra wage has to come from somewhere as I'm not running a business for my health. Would you continue to buy your milk from me supporting your fellow worker's $15 an hour wage? Or would you just take a stroll down to luckys and purchase a quart or that 2 gallon deal because it's cheaper? In the meantime I cantsell any milk I keep throwing it away as it expires losing money. What happens? I shut down. So now that's $100k a year in taxes the city just lost from me shutting down. Now is that a good economy or a bad economy?

Neither. It's a cartoon fantasy on how the economy works by a Free Market fundamentalist.
