Prop 187 was passed by the voters of California 58%. The entire state with exception to the Bay Area which voted the other way.

And later it was declared unconstitutional and then repealed by the state government. Ever since the Repugs have been correctly labeled as a racist political party in a very blue California:

Right: Somehow Democrats don't really care about Latinos, even though Repugs supported Prop. 187 and now support Trump's border wall.

Your party has a history of racism, beginning with Nixon's 1968 victory featuring the Southern Strategy.
