Oprah in 2020?

...The fact that Oprah would be another celebrity candidate should not be held against her just because Trump is a celebrity. If we use Trump as a precedent, no man should ever be a president again either.
Nor should Oprah’s lack of a record in government be a deterrent; she won’t have to defend (as, say, Joe Biden would) a long and sometimes compromised Washington past that might include the undermining of the #MeToo testimony of Anita Hill or voting for the Iraq war. Oprah may have had her own embarrassments, but her cheerleading for the likes of Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil should not be confused with Vietnam.
That said, the coy speculation and hints (including from her partner, Stedman Graham) about whether she is seriously considering a run or not is already getting tedious, and, with time, could be a dagger pointed at the Democrats’ 2020 prospects.
If the idea of her running remains seriously in play, say, a year from now, her stature will deprive other contenders of the political oxygen of both media attention and donors’ dollars. Having opened this door, Oprah now has the obligation to either walk through it or slam it shut on a responsible timeline.

I'll take her. All elections and politicians as far as I can remember you hear the same arguements. Social security, jobs, minorities, budget, deficit or it's some Middle East country. They get into office then do nothing. It's been taxes and social security for 50 years. I'm over it.
. It's about time non-conditioned non-career politicians like oprah or trump have chances at presidency. At this point I'll even vote for my neighbor.
What exactly are you "over"? Some politicians get into office and do good, like Barack Obama. Others do bad, like our present Moron in Chief. If the 2020 choice is between the contemptible Trump and Oprah, it will be an easy decision for me.
Shit can turn to roses and we know your always going to be on the same side of that isle. You wouldn't care who it was aslong as they weren't on the other side. But that's besides the point.
Part of me is happy that trump is president. And if Oprah was to run tomorrow and win I'd be happy about that as well. Because in the world of Washington politics they are both outsiders. It's about time an outsider made it in and the fact that citizens/media will be happy with another outsider running in the future. It's like that saying "you can't re-invent the wheel"? Well maybe not but an outsider can definetly change it to a different wheel. You and I may or may not like it but at least it's changed.
Don't kid yourself. Obama wasn't that good. He was just popular. I'd take a Bill over him any day of the week hands down.
No part of me is happy that Trump is president. Trump and Oprah are "outsiders" only if you have a very elastic definition of the term. More importantly, Trump is a contemptible human being-- racist, mysogynist, ignorant, and just plain stupid.
