There is, of course, no one thing that swung the election. Clinton’s failings, James Comey’s 11th-hour letter, Russian interference, fake news, sexism, racism, and a struggling economy in key swing states all contributed to Trump’s victory.
We will never be able to assign exact proportions to all the factors at play. But a year later, interviews with voters, organizers, and election officials reveal that, in Wisconsin and beyond, voter suppression played a much larger role than is commonly understood...

So the racist were ok with the black man the past 8 yeas and then decided to vote against the white lady?
If you look at statistics trump held more rallies visited more states and stayed in states a lot more than clinton.
What I believe happened is she believed she had it in the bag and believed the polls. Which was probably one of her mistakes. A couple of examples of this She held over 350 fundraisers compared to her 278 rallies. California was a clinch for Hilary. She could have skipped her trips here and maybe spend the time in other states and rallies but instead she chased the money she had 70 fundraisers just in California. She could have travled to other states 70 more times holding 70 other rallies.
People can hate trump but just no more excuses for Clinton. She was cocky and she did not generate nearly as much excitement or electricity with people as trump or sanders. Nor did she come off as genuine.
After pushing sanders out of the way she thought the fix was in and she'd win. Bottom line is she fucked up. What she needs to do is at least come out and acknowledge this by saying something like maybe I could have visited Wisconsin more or something and then apologize to sanders for stealing the nomination and admit she fucked up. Instead she wrote a blame game book to promote and make more money.
You're right about one thing: Trump came off as a "genuine" asshole and is on the way to becoming the worst president in our history.
Hillary, by the way, won the popular vote by 2.8 million votes. Only our archaic electoral system allowed the moron to win.
Hillary got more votes than Trump in a national election. Only our archaic, 18th Century election law allows the grotesque 2016 result that allows the candidate that got fewer votes to take office. Not at all clear that visits to states make a significant difference in election results. And then there was the Russians...
Russians? Come on your smarter than that.
You mean the Russian government didn't try to influence the 2016 election? Please make that argument that contradicts what we already know.
The only remaining question is did the Trump campaign collaborate/commit treason with the Russians.
