Critical Mass London
You see a lot of the same behavior in London that we see here in San Francisco, not just blocking traffic but harassing/bullying individual motorists.

So it's like how Masonic avenue is every day, especially rush hour, with cars.
Actually, traffic on Masonic moves pretty well now. City Hall and the Bicycle Coalition want to put a stop to that by implementing that bike project. Unlike Critical Mass, what you don't see on Masonic is motorists deliberately blocking other traffic.
are you fucking serious? People speed on there constantly and the crosswalks are always blocked? How the fuck don't you notice that? Is your reverence to the almighty vehicle that high that you never notice any car infraction?
let me pose this another way: You believe the majority of motorist who drive along masonic abide by the 25 mile per hour speed limit, don't blow through red lights, give pedestrians the right of way, and don't block the crosswalks?
A commenter posting as "Anonymous" wrote, "You believe (vehicle operators) "abide by the 25 mile per hour speed limit, don't blow through red lights, give pedestrians the right of way, and don't block the crosswalks?"
Is this person talking about bicyclists? Every day I can see bicyclists " blow through red lights, ignore pedestrians and block crosswalks" Why isn't this "Anonymous" person posting the rants on streetsblog? One never sees that name there. Weird.
Maybe this is one of those people who just moved here from the suburbs and wants SF to be like home. Probably loves Valencia Street, parklets, Burning Man and would've voted for Chris Daly if he'd just lived here then. You know, long ago, back in the early 2000s.
Yes, it seems like a case of projection. I often cross Masonic Avenue on foot, and I've never seen any of the motorists' behavior Anon cites. What the bike zealots hate about Masonic is that traffic actually moves well and safely on this important regional North/South street, which is why they denigrate it by calling it a "traffic sewer."
The planned bike project will put an end to Masonic as a safe, efficient street.
Well there is some justice against Critical Mass: http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/S-F-district-attorney-blasts-suspect-in-Critical-6497056.php http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2015/09/10/sf-bicyclist-accused-of-attacking-car-driver-with-lock-appears-in-court/
You guys are hilarious, and didn't answer the question. Do you believe that most motorists on Masonic avenue obey the laws or not? It was a simple question.

Enjoy.
The Stanley Roberts video doesn't show any evidence that Masonic is dangerous at all. Nor do the city's numbers in its only in-depth study of Masonic.
"You guys are hilarious, and didn't answer the question. Do you believe that most motorists on Masonic avenue obey the laws or not? It was a simple question."
Yes, I do. The speed limit is obviously unrealistic, since few motorists observe it, and there's no evidence that that leads to accidents. The claim that Masonic is unsafe has always been bullshit, since there's no evidence for that. It's just the big lie the city and the Bicycle Coalition are using to justify implementing their dumb bike project.
