The case for Israel

This guy is a Tea Party right-winger whose politics I don't share. But he's essentially right about Israel, while the left is either silent or joining Islamists in demonstrations against Israel.

From the Daily Beast (Europe’s Jews Punished for Israel’s War):

Since the beginning of the current war between Israel and Hamas, eight synagogues in France have been attacked. In Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has asked for Jews to apologize for the actions of the Jewish state. In Germany, a prominent Muslim imam gave a sermon asking Allah to kill all of the “Zionist Jews.” The atmosphere in Europe since the beginning of the war has been so toxic that the foreign ministers of France, Italy, and Germany on Tuesday issued a rare joint statement condemning anti-Semitism at pro-Palestinian demonstrations...

More anti-semitism in Europe here. Thanks to Harry's Place for the link.

The world has long killed Jewish people with impunity. We will not be victims any longer. Stop rockets first, then this will end. You want a long term peace, then all enemies of Israel sign a treaty that provides that state the right to exist.

As far as this country, in particular the republic of san francisco, it makes my stomach turn to see and hear the protests and comments of people that i thought were rationale, intelligent and, in some cases, my friends.

If they ever come after me, I wont go off the a camp peacefully!

We will never again be victims.

Here in Progressive Land, District 5 Diary was alone in criticizing City Hall's ridiculous dither over Pamela Geller's anti-jihad ads on Muni buses. City progs hated to allow the First Amendment get in the way of their goofball version of multiculturalism. Even opposing violent jihad makes them uncomfortable!
