A ransom note from the Republican Party

From the Democratic Party's Facebook page

Thanks to Daily Kos for the link.

Kevin Drum reminds us what this is all about:

The Republican Party is bending its entire will, staking its very soul, fighting to its last breath, in service of a crusade to....

Make sure that the working poor don't have access to affordable health care. I just thought I'd mention that in plain language, since it seems to get lost in the fog fairly often. But that's it. That's what's happening. They have been driven mad by the thought that rich people will see their taxes go up slightly in order to help non-rich people get decent access to medical care.

That's a pretty stirring animating principle, no?

Top 1% has 40% of the nation's wealth. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that our system is broken.

Republicans are also threatening to install bike lanes in all major cities. Is there no end to their madness?

No, the bike fetish is mainly the creation of Democrats and progressives.

Then why not become a Republican, Rob? They hate bicycles *and* Muslims, so it's a two-fer.

Because unlike you it's not all about bikes with me. Hard for you to believe it, but there really are more important issues than the great bike revolution.

Still waiting for you birdbrains to explain how opposing Islamic terrorism is the same as hating Muslims.

While you're explaining that, why not at least try to explain how my opposition to redesigning city streets on behalf of a small minority of cyclists---only 3.4% of all trips in the city are by bike---against the interests of more than 90% of those who use our streets is also "hate."

You lame brains are so unused to any criticism here in Progressive Land that you can't handle it when it happens. Maybe you can get together with Moslem apologists for terrorism and get the United Nations to define criticism of cyclists as hate speech.

--> Because Rob loves the Democratic government mandated welfare he receives and the Republicans want to grab back for people who have earned it.

Republicans are about defending people who really earn their money? You mean like the hedge fund managers and banksters that ran the world economy in a ditch? Ha!

Social Security is "welfare"? I went to work full-time when I was 17 and did it for 50 years.

One of the reasons I'm a Democrat is assholes like you who buy the Republican mythology about work and the economy.

Then unless you were a loser hippie, you should have been able to save to pay for your own damn retirement.
