How to oppose the Fell/Oak bike lanes

Ed Reiskin, head of the MTA, is a bike zealot who hauls
his five-year old daughter around on the back of his bike

The MTA board is planning to okay the Oak/Fell bike lanes next week. People should get their comments in opposing this unnecessary project before that meeting:

Date of the hearing: Tuesday, October 16, 2012
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: City Hall Room 400

You can simply email your comment to Ed Reiskin or to the board's secretary, Roberta Boomer.

            Roberta.Boomer@sfmta.com

Copy your comment to District 5 Supervisor Christina Olague: christina.olague@sfgov.org

Refer to the October 16, 2012 Agenda of the MTA Board, Item #11, Oak-Fell Bicycle Lanes.

Say this in your message: "Please deliver this letter to each member of the MTA Board in advance of the meeting and place it in all applicable files."

If you are going to snail-mail your comment, here's the address:

Edward Reiskin, Director
Roberta Boomer, Secretary, and
Members of the MTA Board
1 South Van Ness Avenue, 7th Floor
San Francisco, CA 94103

The proposed bike lanes will take away parking spaces in a neighborhood where they're already scarce. They are also unnecessary because cyclists not "comfortable" riding on Fell and Oak Streets already have nearby Page and Hayes Streets available to access the Wiggle.
