Portlandia and San Francisco
Check out the amusing comments by Portland residents about a new tricycle delivery service on this website. It seems that the City of Portland has a contract with Office Depot to deliver its office supplies by tricycle. Can San Francisco be far behind?
The problem with the TV show Portlandia is that it can't keep up with the goofball reality. Here's a taste of the show that could also be about San Francisco, aka Progressive Land.

Stereotyping is fun!
Congrats, you found a website as out of touch and as "bitter old man" as yours.
You two are fighting the good fight. Carry on.
Ha. Oh Rob, you are just jealous you don't have your own show. But who wants to watch a has-been in sweats go on and on about "those hipster bike nazis wrecking all the nice car space."
"Stereotyping is fun!"
Yes, especially when as here it's so clearly based on reality. Actually, the video qualifies as satire. Is it hard to imagine that the bike people are vulnerable targets for satire?

Their combination of political correctness combined with a massive sense of entitlement makes satire mandatory.
"combination of political correctness combined with a massive sense of entitlement"
Rob?
Right, Lex, because cyclists clearly have a monopoly on entitlement. (Hey, do you like how I just linked to my own comment to suggest validity? I learned that one from Rob!)
Whoops, I meant to link to this comment on "entitlement".
I like this tricycle device!!!
Rob, he has a point, you link to yourself constantly. Where is your sense of humor about your circle logic? You quote yourself to prove to yourself how right you are.
We all just stand back and laugh.
You folks are the ones who are laughable. I link to earlier posts that contain links to city and/or other documents that support my argument. You assume I'm indulging in a circular argument because you don't read my blog with any care in the first place. Instead, you pop in every now and then to send me a witless comment that ignores the substance of the post you're supposedly commenting on.
I commented on your claim that American's just want to drive alone because they can and that carpooling is gone because there is no need for it. You ignored all rational reasons for the increase in solitary confinement probably because you had no links to bullshit that would even satisfy your low standards of being correct and "winning an argument".
Another example being you linking an Examiner article that made the same false assumptions as you, but yet you quoted it as if it were fact.
You simply make assertions without any supporting evidence. The numbers---even the SF numbers in the city's annual Transportation Fact Sheet---support the claim that car-pooling is on the decline. The "Examiner" article? There was no Examiner article cited in the carpooling story. You must be referring to the parking ticket quota exchange. Again, no evidence from you, just assertions that contradict what the story actually said.
