Arlen Specter: Good riddance

I remember Arlen Specter for two reasons: his preposterous single bullet theory that he formulated as a junior counsel to the Warren Commission's pseudo-investigation into President Kennedy's assassination; and his contemptible attempt to destroy Anita Hill when he was a member of the all-male Senate committee during the hearing on Clarence Thomas's nomination to the Supreme Court. Don't let the screen door hit your ass on the way out, Arlen.

My review of Gerald Posner's crappy book on the JFK assassination.

Thanks for reminding us of the Anita Hill incident and the prosecutorial role Specter play in it. You're completely right. It was disgraceful.

Specter is and always has been an opportunist. I am glad Pennsylvania finally showed this hypocrite the door.

Yes, after helping to screw up the investigation into the crime of the century, he then helped the Repugs put Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court. Finally Pennsylvania Democrats have put this awful man out to pasture.
