glad you liked it...

just FYI, I'm an avid, daily, cyclist and I thought that video was hilarious. Just to prove cyclists can have a sense of humor too!

Good for you, but you seem to be in the minority.

I'm also a cyclist and a fan of the video.

remember, though, that here the gas taxes go to maintain freeways, which cyclists don't use. I think it's different in the UK where the vid is from.

That makes two of you. What's your point about the gas tax?

Actually, it makes two out of two.

You're probably the only two bike nuts in San Francisco who read this blog.

could you please define "bike nut"?
is this anyone who rides a bicycle? do you consider everyone who drives a car to be a "car nut" and everyone who walks a "foot nut"? is it possible that you are just nuts?

A Bike Nut is someone who rides a bike, not because it's cheap and easy transportation, but because he/she also is saving the planet. Hence, bikes aren't simply bikes to the Bike Nut; they are an important political accessory for the self-righteous. A corollary to this assumption is a virulent anti-car bias. Anything that makes it more difficult and expensive to drive in the city is a Good Thing to the card-carrying Bike Nut.

Bike Nuts also operate on the assumption that traffic laws don't apply to them, which is why we often see them running stop signs, intimidating pedestrians, and riding on sidewalks.
